This statement applies to the Future Civil Service consultation site at future.civilservice.gov.uk. The site is run by the Cabinet Office. It covers the whole site: the home page, where you request an access link; the page where you share your idea; and the supporting pages — this accessibility statement, the privacy notice and the cookie policy.

How you should be able to use this website

We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen or content overlapping;
  • navigate the whole site and complete the feedback form using just a keyboard;
  • navigate the site using speech-recognition software;
  • listen to the site using a screen reader.

The site respects your operating system’s ‘reduce motion’ setting: if it is turned on, the entrance animation on the home page is skipped. With JavaScript turned off, all content remains readable, though the forms cannot be submitted.

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

How accessible this website is

We have built this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard.

We have confirmed that you can resize the page to 400% without content spilling off the screen, and complete the feedback form using only a keyboard. With JavaScript turned off, all content remains readable, although the forms cannot be submitted.

We are not aware of any accessibility problems with this website. It has been built to work with screen readers and speech-recognition software, and passes our automated accessibility checks.
